I hesitate to write another blog post on any homosexual issues, but it breaks my heart when I see thousands of people watching and sharing content that furthers the misconception that God is alright with homosexual relationships.
I appreciate you sharing this important information. Too many people are being talked into a wide path that they believe leads to life. The great lie is that the rest of the culture are guilty of the high incidence of self-harm, depression, and suicide. Normalizing their worldview does not lessen that reality. Saying to them that they must somehow begin to feel right about themselves is unkind. It steals away any hope for salvation. Pretending that Christianity can bring all its joy and peace to a mind caught up in tangles is hope without foundation.
Thanks for taking your considerable efforts to spell all of this out. Many are simply confused by ubiquitous false messaging targeting the young and vulnerable. May your work find those in desperate need of truth.
I just noticed this piece is from 2014! Still bringing it!
Christians declaring homosexuality a sin, while eating unclean animals is rather hypocritical. The same GOD that declares homosexuality an abomination also declares eating unclean animals an abomination.
God never declared homosexuality as being clean. However He did tell Peter not to call unclean what He has called clean. God is always right! He created us and the universe hence “and the earth was without form and void (Genesis 1:2). There is no wisdom, nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord (Proverbs 21:30). Jesus died for sin, so should we continue in it, no to repent means to turn around! Can a person who is homosexual be saved? Yes, through repentance they can! Also when God called certain animals unclean it was under the law which only one person (Jesus) was capable of being guiltless. So if you think you can live under the law then you will be judged by it.
One more thing; it’s the Word of God that declares it wrong; as christians we are required to call sin out (even our own sin) so that everyone can have the same chance of eternal salvation
No I believe I’ll be judged by my faith in God; the Lord who gave His life for the forgiveness of sin and sits at the right hand of the Father. For by one offering, He has perfected for ever them that are sanctified. (Hebrews 10:12 and 14) If you read down through verse 18, it says “now where the remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin”. I do believe that Peter said “ I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean”.
Sin is disobedience to Gods laws
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Jesus came to fulfill the law and if we sin we have a High Priest in heaven. The blood of bulls could not cleanse us but was a precursor of things to come
And we will always have sin till we stand before Christ. In Galatians 3:24,25 wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. But after faith is come we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins,
but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries.
A man who disregards Moses' law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses.
How much worse punishment, do you think, will he be judged worthy of, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
For we know him who said, "Vengeance belongs to me," says the Lord, "I will repay." Again, "The Lord will judge his people."
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

God never addressed the UNCLEAN (Akathartos) only the Common (Koinos)

You think you will not be judged by the law?
Please define sin.

The same law that declares homosexuality a sin, also declares eating unclean animals a sin.
In fact states both are ABOMINATIONS.
Why should a homosexual believe the law applies when a Christian does not?
